Steps For Disassembling And Replacing The Wheels Of A Crane

As a lifting accessory, the wheels of a crane need to be replaced even if they are worn out over a long period of use to ensure the good operation of the equipment. What are the steps for disassembling and replacing them? Many customers may not know, let's introduce it below.
1. Remove the connecting bolts of the wheel shaft end coupling.
2. Remove the fastening bolts that secure the square bearing box and end beam of the wheel assembly.
3. Use a crane jack or jack to lift the heavy bridge, with the wheel tread about 10mm above the track. Pry the wheel assembly along the track surface and remove and replace it.
4. Lift the newly assembled active wheel set with half shaft end gear coupling onto the crane track.
5. Approaching the installation position, adjust the jack and slowly lower the vehicle body. Tighten the bolts and nuts to ensure safety.
6. Connect the horizontal bolts properly and connect the vertical bolts accordingly, alternating between connecting while driving the wheels. Check whether the wheels rotate flexibly and inspect the horizontal and vertical deviations of the wheel installation.
7. Align the threaded holes of the wheel shaft end gear coupling half body and the reducer driven shaft coupling half body, and tighten them through the connecting bolts.
