The crane motor is an important crane accessory that provides power to the crane. By reducing the speed to the operating speed of the equipment through the crane reducer, the equipment can work normally. It is necessary to conduct daily inspections of the crane motor. Below, we will introduce it to you from several aspects such as viewing, listening, touching, and measuring
1. Look: Check the magnitude and variation of the working current of the crane motor, and see if there is any water leakage or dripping around, which may cause the motor to burn out due to insulation breakdown. It also depends on whether there are objects that affect the ventilation and heat dissipation environment around the motor. Are the fan cover, fan blades, and motor exterior too dirty and need to be cleaned? It is necessary to ensure its cooling and heat dissipation effect.
2. Listen: Listen to the sound of the motor to see if it is abnormal, in order to add bearing oil or replace bearings in a timely manner, to prevent motor bearings from being blocked due to lack of oil and dry wear, piercing the outer circle, and burning out by sweeping holes.
3. Touch: Use the back of your hand to detect the temperature around the crane motor. In good bearing conditions, the temperature at both ends is usually lower than that of the middle winding section. If the temperature at both ends is high, it is necessary to check the bearings in conjunction with the measured sound. If the overall temperature of the motor is high, it is necessary to check the load, equipment, and ventilation of the motor in conjunction with the operating current.
4. Measurement: When the motor stops running, it is necessary to regularly (monthly) measure the insulation resistance of each phase or phase with an insulation meter, and compare the results with the previous month's test to detect insulation defects in a timely manner,
5. Do: Tighten the screws and wiring of the motor according to the maintenance cycle (monthly), disassemble and inspect, clean and maintain, etc.
