The lifting equipment used outdoors or near the coast is equipped with windproof safety devices by manufacturers, including electric rail clamps, hydraulic rail clamps, manual rail clamps, etc. They are all accessories of gantry cranes. Taking electric rail clamps as an example, let's introduce their working principle.
The electric rail clamp is composed of cycloidal pinwheel reducer, coupling screw, special nut, fixture and other components.
Its working principle is: when the reducer rotates clockwise, it drives the screw rod to rotate, and then continues to work downwards through a special nut to force the lower end of the fixture to clamp the tracks on both sides, thus achieving the purpose of windproof.
When the reducer rotates counterclockwise, the clamping device is lifted until the stopper on the special nut contacts the travel limiter. Due to the opening of the limiter, the power is now connected and the car can run. Otherwise, cut off the power supply, prohibit the car from driving, and serve as a locking mechanism.
